VidFan's All Time Top 10 Viral Videos

Welcome to our chart,

Our critics went through the archives of the internet and pulled the ten classics videos that make up this list. They were the best of their time - and will still make you chuckle today. Along with the video we are also including a brief history.

This list will be updated as more classics come to the forefront - Enjoy!

This clip originally appeared on Fox 5 Atlanta. I'm sure the original uploaders of this video knew it was destined to be a classic. From what we have read, the woman who stumbles off the platform was perfectly ok after a few minutes, she just had the wind knock out of her.

"This is Pinky, he's a male cat...available for adoption...a very loving cat..."

Unfortunatly, that's all we know about this clip. It's one of those clips that make you cry from laughing when watching it for the first time, and still makes you chuckle every time after. If anyone knows where this cat is, I would love to adopt him!

Wow, what were they thinking...

This became an instant classic the second it hit the web. It's absolutely the worst and funniest music video... ever. This video was distributed by Critique Records in 2002 as a promotion for an album to be released in Europe. Believe it or not, Hasselhoff is huge in Europe and more specifically Germany. If anyone can find any other Hasselhoff music videos please please please send them in!

We couldn't find any background information on this clip. What we do know is that it was one of the first widely circulated internet videos. We also know that it is hilarious, and to this day cracks a smile on all the editors faces. This video holds a special place in our hearts and we thought it deserved a spot on this list.

This story originally aired on KRON-TV channel 4 in San Francisco. This report on whistle tips featuring inteviews of Bubb Rubb and Little Sis became wildly famous after an unknown individual put it on the web. If you do a web search for "Bubb Rubb" you will find many spin offs and soundboards.

This trailer recut was made by Robert Ryang, a Manhattan film editors assistant for P.S. 260. He entered this clip into a recut contest for film editors. Not only did he win, but he created the most famous recut of all time! Within a few weeks of it getting leaked on the web by his friends he was getting called by major Hollywood studios looking for fresh talent.

At the end of every GI-Joe cartoon a short education segment was broadcasted, ending with the line "And Knowing Is Half The Battle". The good people at Fensler Film took these clips and dubbed over them, sometimes even tweaking the animation. The result was instant internet classics! This is our favorite clip out of a total 25.

"All right chums, I'm back. Let's do this..."

The best thing to come out of the MMORPG World of Warcraft. This clip was made by the WoW guild PALS FOR LIFE. Although this clip is staged, apparently intended to be a promotional video for the guild, it is still hilarious. The video was featured on Jeopardy and articles about the clip appeared in many gaming magazines.

Armed with only a webcam and his love for the Romanian pop song "Dragostea Din Tei" by O-Zone, New Jersey resident Gary Brolsma became one of the most famous and well known people on the internet. You might have seen him on popular shows such as ABC's Good Morning America or NBC's The Tonight Show. Or read about him in The New York Times.

This is the clip that started the Numa Numa phenomenon and will no doubt always hold top ranks in our chart.

What would any viral video top 10 list be without the Star Wars Kid planted firmly on top. On November 8th, 2002 Canadian teen Ghyslain Raza decided to make a video of himself playing the character of Darth Maul in his high school studio. Around April the tape was found and shared as a prank on the Kazaa file sharing network. Within two weeks Raza was an internet star, however, he did not take well to it. For the full story please visit this link.

There have been over 200 spin-offs of this clip, and it's gonna take one hell of a Video to dethrone it.
